UBROLEXIN- A NEW MASTITIS TUBE LAUNCHED Ubrolexin, has been launched by Boehringer Ingelheim the maker of Leo Yellow. It is a combination of 2 antibiotics, Cefalexin (similar to Cobactan) and Kanamycin (similar to one of the Leo Yellow components) which are both proven antibiotics but have additionally been shown to work in synergy which means the combined effect of the antibiotics is greater than the individual parts. It has been shown in trials to hit clinical mastitis strongly and reduce cell counts. It offers a different combination of antibiotics to other tubes available so will be a valuable addition to our range. Treatment is recommended with 2 tubes 24 hours apart. It comes in a box of 20 tubes (10 courses) costing £68.96 and has a 5 day milk withdrawal. Please ask our vets for more details.
